Hi Moonlight101:

I have an urgent question: when you were on H1B (changed from J1 that is not subject to 212E). Did you leave US and get an H1B stamp overseas? I am on H1B status and I changed my status from J1. My J1 is not subject to 212E. Now I have to visit my family overseas and this is the first time to leave US since I was on H1B status. Am I taking risks of not getting H1B approved because I was on J1 before. Although my J1 is not subject to 212E, I am very worried if US Consulate would overturn that decision and think I should be subject to it. Please let me know your experience. Thanks!

Hi

I was never on H1b, I was always on J1 and after 140 approval I used advance parole travel document to travel.

Cheers

moon......
