hello everyone,
Today I had interview and my passport stamped which says ' Processed for 551. Temporary Evidence of Lawful Admission for Permanent Residence valid Until 7/10/2007 Employment Authorized. She told me that I will get the GC in 30 days in my mail. The thing is why she put a date on my passport? Does anybody have the same thing?
I have waited two hours in the lobby and got nervous a little bit because maybe 20 people came after me and left before me. I thought maybe they could'nt find my file or something. Then finanly a lady called my name and we went inside. She asked me only 3 questions.1st one was whats my occupation. I said unemployed
Then she asked the copy of my diploma. Then asked me if i have been arrested. I said yes one and a half years ago and gave her my criminal record which was dismissed. After that she turned on her computer and logged in to website and entered my allien number,country of citizenship,DV case number and submitted it. After that on the screen i saw the big blue' APPROVED' notice. She wanted me the copy of my papers. I gave all the copies and the thing is she didn't even check anything. She wanted my passport and she put the stamp and after that she told me that today I was the first one who got it. She told me that many people today couldn't get it because of not having some papers. She congratulated me and wished me good luck. I was thinking they will ask a lot of questions about my DUI,job..etc but nothing. After i went inside whole process took only 10 minutes.
