Passport stamped today 02/23/2004.

Went there at 6.45 AM to appointment line and there were 15 already there and started letting us in at 7.00 am routine check your ID passport and security, got token #.

Called us around 8.10 am asked about AP and EAD and took back EAD I did not have AP.

Asked us to wait till the stamping is done around 8.45 called our token # to come and take our passports back. They said card will arrive in next 6 months.

They did a backgound check today and put IBIS stamp also on passport.

RM_CSC, I saw you today buddy! :) Before they call you were sitting in a front row.

How do you like the lawyer with a bunch of Chines people? I wish I had such lawyer!
 
I did not have time this morning about the chinese and the attorney.

More details.

We 15 of us stand in line around 6.45 am, this lawyer with chinese shows up with 10 people and they all stand behind us in the line(appointment line), lawyer goes to the security gaurd talks for 5 minutes they laugh, cut jokes. The lawyer call all his people and they get special treatment they all go in front of they let them in first :mad:, then they let us in, by then we are moved to 25 from 15. Most of the chinese did not speak english. The Staff inside were waving, similing at lawyer and he runs around to serve all his clients, he has all the originals and gives copies to the clients. I saw him running sometimes to serve his clients on two different counters at sametime. "He got his money and workout too :) "

I asked one women in the group what they are applying for she said EAD.

I just took 2 photos, passport, I-94, approval notice and EAD.

No additional documnets like employement letter or H1, etc... are not at all necessary "they wont ask for it".

One more point the 551 stamp is valid till your passport is valid, so if you have passport expiring soon (3 months from now) better get it renewed, in my case my passport is valid till Sep so the stamp is valid till Sep. If your passsport does not expire in a year the stamp is valid for one year.

Did you get Temp EAD ? looks they replaced the old lady at photographs with a charming one if I am right.

Yes the service the attorney is giving looks like a good one, so do you plan on changing lawyer ?

Recieved plastic cards.

Recieved plastic cards today 3/12/2004so its the end of GC ordeal.

Passport stamped on 2/23/2004 San Jose.
