Hello,

Earlier I posted the message that our case was approved on 9/24. Here are details:
RD: 11/06 ND: 11/21 FP: 4/4 @ SJ Scheduled: 5/7
Approved: 9/24

Received the approval in mail on Friday 9/27.
Stamped on 9/30 @SJ


- Reached there at around 7.30 AM (Monday morn)
- Got token at around 8.00AM
- My turn came at around 9.00AM. Gave docs (485 courtesy copy, EAD, old I-94s, Passport, 2Phots) to an Indian lady. she was very nice and helping.
- Got passport by 9.30 (My wife got it at 10.00AM, some delay at her windw).
- Out by 10.00AM.

Overall nice experience, except that I had an odd experience. I was told that we can go to 'Appointments line' directly. So, I asked an INS officer there (not security), wheres the appointments line and he told me that I cant go to appointments line, I have to wait in the normal line! That was a shock, but, can I say? anyways... In any case, I just tried my luck and went ahead to Appointments line and security officer there did not mind and we were let in.

Just thought of sharing with you guys, if you are going, dont ask, simply proceed to appointments line.

Do you need the Original Approval?

Did you take the original approval or just the courtesy copies?

Our attorney is in NY. So, it would have taken at-least couple of days to receive.

I gathered from this forum that courtesy copy is fine. Also, nobody checked whether it was original or courtesy.
