Passport stamped, but no plastic, no welcome letter, no LUD change.

Hi, guys,
I hope I am just being paranoid, but I am starting to think that something is wrong with my case. We had our interview on 12/19 and I had my passport stamped right then and there. From what I've seen so far for the Newark DO, most people got the "Welcome letter" within a week, and most even got their GCs a few days after that.
It's already been 2 weeks, but I haven't received anything. I do realize that the INS could be slower during the Holiday season, but I'm starting to worry.
What if the adjudicator just stamped my passport, but forgot to update the actual case? Has anybody heard of a case like that? What if I only travel with the I-551, but on the way back they can't confirm its validity? There is no change in the status of the case when I check online, and neither is there a LUD change.
Can you please share your experience with this?
Thanks and good luck to everyone that's still waiting!

Hi OMG,
No need to worry. Those officers never forget to update cases. Once your passport is stamped, your case has bee updated. During the hoildays most DO are slow. Wait for another or two, if you don't hear anything make an info pass appointment and go there and talk to someone. Happy New Year to you!!!!!!

God bless you, Wor! I definitely want to believe you are right. I plan to travel in the next two weeks, and there is still time... so let's hope.

I am getting worried about mine too..though I wasn't stamped or even outrightly told I was approved..it's been 7 working days now since I sent the RFE she asked, and no word yet..i want to make an infopass appointment but can I choose the day I want to go there or they will give me what they have available?

When you try to get an infopass appt, it would show you a list of available dates with time slots starting from the earliest available. You can pick whichever day/time slot from the list based on your convenience.
