I got my 485 approved and passport stamped in sept this year. i work for a consulting company and i am currently on paid bench (although my company may get rid of me any day now or they may stop paying me on bench). however, they may find me a project in the next month or so since they have good contacts. In the meantime, can i work on another job (probably temporary contract) without quitting my current company? i do not want to leave the company since i have not received my plastic card yet and it has been only 4 weeks since i got my passport stamped. Will it be any kind of violation os status if i work for 2 companies at the same time? also, will it be any problem in getting plastic card if i get laid off from my company? any info will be greatly appreciated. thanks.
