Hello all,
This morning, I and my wife had our passports stamped with the temporary permanent (?!) visa at the Baltimore office. Reached Baltimore at around 8:20 but spent another hour or more searching for the Fallon Federal building (intersection of Hanover and Lombard). Close to 10 AM we got in and found no crowd at all !!! Went straight to the counter, got couple of tokens and our numbers were called right away at another counter. The immigration officer, a lady, was extremely polite and courteous, received us well and took the letter, passport and the photographs. We were then asked to wait for the passports to be stamped. After about 5 minutes, we were called back and the passports handed over and were told that the cards will arrive in 6-8 months.
Neither of our H-1Bs or EADs were taken back, nor did we remind them to. Hope this doesn't cause a problem. Overall, but for the hour long seach for Fallon Federal building the process went extremely smooth! Don't know if we were just lucky to have the process get over in such a short time despite our reaching close to 10AM or going early doesn't apply to a great extent at the Baltimore office.
Wish everyone goodluck in their GC endeavors!
