passport stamp after interview?

Hi,
I am confused of reading that some people mention they got tehir passport stamped after interview- not sure what that means. We ahd interview with my husband on 02/22/06 but i-485 stil pending...

i-765 approved 11/2/05
interview/i-130 approved - 02/22/06
had to renew EAD- filed 08/11/06, approved 09/25/06
AP filed 02/19/06
only news on i-485: "Fingerprints review completed"

That means your case has not been approved yet. Those that have their passport stamped (I-551) have an approved Green Card Petition.

Passport stamping after interview.

Hi

In my case, I received Green Card by post directly after the finger printing was done within 35 days.. There was no intermediary stage in between. So stamping has been done on my passport. Can anybody throw light on this aspect please? Nowadasys have they abolished stamping of the passports ?
