Passport Renewal with Valid TN Status

My Canadian passport is going to expire in Sep 09 with TN status valid till May 09

If i get new TN status in May 09 , do i need to go to POE again in sep 09 after getting my new passport to stamp it,
or it is fine to use new passport for travel with valid visa stamped on old/cancelled passport

The passport stamp is not important, the I-94 is. Take the I-94 out of your old passport, and then when you get new one, staple it in there. No need to carry old passport after that.
