After my 485 approval, I went for stamping to INS office. The 485 clearly mentions taking 2 Immigration-style passport photos. I was sent away and told to get 2 straight-faced (driver-license) style passport photos.

Last minute, I had to run around to CVS and walgreens to get my passport photos taken!!

I suggest u take 2 photos of straight as well as immigration photos with u for stamping.

brigand,

USCIS stopped accepting immi. style photos, also called ADIT style photos efffective Spetember 1, 2004. All their forms have still not been updated with the new requirement and still use the old wordings, remember when they rasied the fees and the instructions still showed old fees ?? But what else do you expect from USCIS ?? They are slow and their systems are outdated. It is always upto the applicant to make sure they have the correct instructions. Remeber we are dealing with a government agency here !!

Perhaps you are not aware of the change in law. They have stopped accepting ADIT style photos now.

This matter has been posted several times on the forum in the past.

There is no need to take ADIT style photo anymore. Just take Passport style photos and you will be fine.
