Passport Issues

For example, if INS review my 485 case in August, they will look at my passport copy, and my passport's expiration date is December. Is it a issue? I heard somewhere that the passport should be at least 6 months away from expiration. I will get my passport renewed when get stamped of course. Anyone has same experience? Thanks in advance. I dont think it matters. Besides when you applied for your 485, your passport was valid for more than a year. Eventually, when you have your passport renewed, just make sure you bring the old one with you when you go for passport stamping....that is if they try to double check your passport with your application.
