Passport expires while I-485 pending

My wife's I-485 is pending and her apssport is expiring. We have received a new passport but do we need to inform USCIS of this information? If yes does anyone knows how we can do this.

Your help is appreciated.

Oh my god, I renewed my passport after my I 485 has been submitted too and never thought that it could pose a problem. I too need an answer to this please. thanks
 
Passport expires

I think what happens is that you would get a weak RFE. You would need to send in the copies of the new passport. This is per my lawyer

You do not need to inform USCIS that your passport has been renewed. If anything, as the post above says, they can issue a RFE to request a copy of the new one if they want to, or make you come to an interview prior to I-485 approval - and this is assuming they will even care to see it. Anyway, as of now you don't have to do anything at all.
