Passed interview today at Denver DO

I had my interview at Denver DO today. Glad to say that it went well and
interviewing officer said that I was going to be recommended for citizenship and
I should expect oath letter in next 2 or 3 weeks with Oath scheduled in June.
It was pleasent experience.
They did not ask for any documentation except green card and drivers license.
(I had selective service letter, tax transcripts, paystubs, SS card with me, but
none of this was needed).
At the end, I got the copy of N652 form stating the same. I asked if any checks
etc are pending. The reply was everything is complete and looks good.

(p.s.: I had dual A# issue but it did not delay the decision in my case.
Here are my thoughts about that :

)

Now, wait for oath letter begins.

Legolas, foreverafter,
Thanks for your well wishes.
I will be updating this forum when I receive my oath letter.

Congratulations

I had my interview today, I was so nervous and happy I was told I was approved and the stamp was put on the application. However, I was driving home and I realized I was not given the N-652. In your opinion is this a big deal? I have copy of interview letter and a vague recolection of the name of the officer. = I got just 1 hour sleep and I was nervous and not myself = so your opinion is wanted here :)

thanks.....

Fort Lauderdale.

Here in my district you need the 'receipt' from the interview ... it should be easy enough to get another copy when you arrange for an info pass. You could check also with your court if they (too) require that form. Either way, this is something that won't question your oath elegibility ... just see what you need to do to comply with your requiremtns and people will work with you.

Fort Lauderdale,
In my opinion, its not a big deal.
If the officer told you verbally that you passed and you will be receiving oath
letter from them, then that should be a good indication.

N-652, is after all just a written form of decision that the immigration officer made after the interview. You don't need it to provide to further process your case (such as finger print notice or interview letter)

From what I have heard, for oath ceremony etc. you aren't really "required" to have N-652. Just carrying oath letter along with green card is sufficient.

On the other hand, if you don't hear from them for long time regarding oath, then you can schedule info pass. (I am not sure what is the typical time it takes in your disctrict office for receiving oath letter after the interview but
you can compare it with fellow applicants)

N400 Interview on Apr27

I had on N400 interview on Apr 27 and I was Approved and Officer put an approved Stamp on my N400 Application and officer handed over the n-652 form. I asked officer about my name check and finger print. He said everything looks good and he told me that next thing would be oath letter. You would get it within two months. I was so happy and came back home. :)
When I got home I checked the N-652 form, only "You passed the tests of US history and government" box is checked. None of the other boxes are checked. But normally as per this forum, "Congratulation ! YOur application has been recommended for approval ...." would be checked, if it was approved. I am little nervous. Please any comments... any one had any experience on this...

Thanks

You should be ok. Probably just an oversight on part of the officer.
So don't worry about it and wait patiently for the letter.
Can you please share all your details (district office, time line)

Mailed application to TSC on Nov 14, 2005
PD: Nov 19, 2005 (Received notice with PD on Dec 09, 05)

SD12/Fort Lauderdale,
I would like to know that whether the officer put the approved stamp on N400 form after your interview. For my case, I saw that he stamped on the form.

Please reply

Thanks

Had mine done on April 21st in Denver. The officer just gave me a copy of the I-xxx form that stated "Congratulations - you have been recommended...". Did not see any stamping being done.

SD12,

I read your post about dual A numbers. You mentioned that you were doing adjustment of status as well as CP. You said that when you returned from CP you cancelled you 485. My question is.....how did you know that you had two A numbers? Did the INS send you a letter with the second A number? or did you just assume that you had two A numbers since you had both a CP action and 485 action in progress?

I looked at my EAD card that I had received during 485 app for 2nd A#.
I think if you had any receipt of 485, FP etc., it should have your 2nd A# as well.
(And no, INS did not send a letter with 2nd A#)

IMMPORTAL_USER,
Did the officer mentioned about when you are going to receive oath letter or when the next oath ceremony is schedule.
Since we had our interviews in the same month, it will be good to find out when
each of us receives oath letter etc.

Also, like IMMPORTAL_USER, I simply received N 652 that had "Congratulations - " line checked. (I did not see anything being stamped on my application/form)

sd12,

The officer mentioned that I should be getting the oath letter in 2-3 weeks. She mentioned that the next one is scheduled for the end of June. I think it is the one that is usually scheduled around 4th of July. Plenty of press coverage and emotional scenes ;)

I just changed residence within the same city. Wondering if I have to do more than the AR-11? I will let you know once I receive the oath letter. I think you will receive it before I do :) BTW no sign of my case on the USCIS website. I guess I might have the entire process done before it ever makes it to the online status page.

I searched the web but there is no mention of Oath dates in Denver. Do you know where it is usually held? Then we can check the booking schedule at that center to see when the oath is being held. Just a thought.

Oath is usually held at 12000 E. 47th Avenue (diagonally across the street from the District Office where we had interview)
Also I belive the officer mentioned that it will be across the street, so presume she was talking about the same location.
(But I am not sure if its large public cermony, its the same location or
they would change it to bigger location such as civic center)

Regarding address change, you will have to call 800 # as well since their web
page mentions:

"Customers with pending applications may report their change of address to customer service at 1 (800) 375-5283. Customers who are not U.S. citizens are also required to file Form AR-11. "

Just checked the Colorado Convention Center calendar. They do not have any citizenship ceremonies scheduled for this year. So I guess it has to be the 12000 E. 47th Avenue center. No schedule published for that on the internet.

BTW found out that one took place on April 13th 2006. So if it is held monthly, is there a chance of making it on May 11th, 12th or June 15th or 16th. Pure speculation, since it is held on a thursday or friday.

Thanks for the heads-up on the 800 number to call for address change.

Received oath letter today

I received oath letter (N-445) today May 05, 2006. Naturalization ceremony is scheduled on May 26, 2006 at Auraria Campus, 855 Lawrence Way, Denver

Congratulations sd12. I expect my letter to show up next week based on your timeline. What time is it scheduled for?

It seems to be at a different location compared to what was stated on the website.
