Passed citizenship interview but

My cousin passed his citizenship interview.
His parents passed it the same day.
His parents got their appointment to be sworn in as citizens.
He hasn't received anything for 3 weeks now and since I have helped him I am concerned.

When he was a minor he worked at a big store and did something really stupid.Another employee found a package with a receipt and had him go to customer servise to do a return and get money. It turned out that the package belonged to a customer who had lost it.
Management called the police.
I am pretty sure they did not give him a felony charge. He was just fired from his job.He was a minor and I think they might have taken a record of him but he could have that destroyed once he became 18.

What should we do/Should we schedule and appointment through INFOPASS to investigate what happened? He passed his citizenship test and if there was a problem why did they even call him for that?
Also, if there is a problem, what is the procedure?I know we can go to the IJ but what is the first step to that?

As always I appreciate your help brothers and sisters

Dont' jump to conclusions...first try to find out why they have responded yet? they must have given some contact info of the citizenship office. try to call them and find out whats going on

Background check maybe? Go to Citizenship forum and see what they have to say. If he was not arrested and not charged then I dont think it needs to be mentioned.

Kalvar,

Did they get the GC through asylum? Let us know

Klavar,

Did he mention this on his application? If he did, and they did not request his report on this, then there is nothing to worry about. If he did not and they found out, then....

Besides, they should have asked him for this during his interview. Btw, it is still early, don't get anxious so soon, for some people it takes longer to receive an appointment for the ceremony. It can take up to a couple of months in some cases.

He got his GC through the DV lottery.

He did not mention this is when he applied for citizenship and USCIS did not request anything.

Even if USCIS found out anything he did not lie in his application because it was not a felony or even a misdemeanor.

I appreciate your help guys
