Part time work on EAD

Hi,

Can I work part-time with the EAD card, and still maintain H1 with the original company?

I work for Company A, which holds my H1 as well as GC. Recently got my EAD card. I have a part time opportunity, which I would love to take up. Can I use my EAD for the part-time work and H1 for the regular full-time at Company A.

How would UCSIS know about this usage. Do we have to inform them ourselves or the company informs them?
