Part Time While adjusting Status

I filed the 485 form, 30 days more and it will be 180 days. I have also H1 valid extension and I got the EAD too.
Now, There is a part time contract, could I take it or is that not leged?

It is perfectly legal

If you do second job without H1 meaning which you are using EAD. So you will not be H1. But your status will be on pending AOS. You are perfectly legal. It is advised that using EAD before I-140 approval is little risky.
If you are not married their will difficulty in bringing your wife also.
