Parents returning from India only after 2 months

Hi there,
Hopefully, Some of the gurus will answer my general query. My parents have 10 yrs visa and came for the second time on Dec 08 after 15 months in India. We applied for extension to CSC in April and after applying for extension, they have to leave the Country to attend some family emergency. We contacted INS and they suggested taking copies of boarding pass,I94 and extension document receipt with them to India. We did exactly as recommended by them.

Unfortunatly the extension application is still in process and now we decided to call them back and they are coming to same port of entry the coming weekend. I prepared a detailed letter on questions regarding original I94 from previous stay to the BCIS immigration offer explaining all the events.

I asked them to give it to the officer only if they ask about departure record from last visit. Is this enough ? What kind of questions can we expect during the entry ? What is the best answer to give during this visit ? As they are coming this weekend, can someone please give me a reply soon. Any input from anyone is appreciated.

Could you update what happened in your parents case please.? were they allowed to enter at POE. what questions were asked?
 
They entered SFO POE without any issues

This is the problem with this forums. The seniors guys never care to reply to my post as am a new guy to forum.
Actually they got approval for their renewal application a week before they are scheduled to return to USA. The guy at SFO POE just asked abt where they are going to stay and what company my sister works for etc. He asked my father how long they want to stay. My father without hesitation told 6 months. He smiled and approved for 6 months. Thats all. Hope this info helps.
