Hi Friends,
I am planning to apply for my parents Green-cards soon (I-130) but just last night my parents told me they do NOT have Birth certificate and Marriage licenses. Of course they do have valid passport, ration card, voters ID and all that. So what do we do now? as I really need that to start the process. I am guessing we need to make some affidavit of some sort. May be affidavit from my parent's brothers and sisters can help make one I guess am I right?. Does anyone have a sample copy or links to one. It would be of a great help. Thanks guys as always.

Ajay

Ps: Also when senior people go for their immigrant visa interviews what do the consulate officers generally ask? specially in Mumbai Consulate, India? Any info is greatly appreciated guys. Thank you so much.

google for: department of state reciprocity table and then check for the specific country--USCIS uses this information.

If their births and/or marriage were registered, they should be able to get the certificates from the city or state where they were born/married.
