Parents are Adjusting Status though USC Son .
Their District office will be in New York . But they are travelling in other states . Can they do finger printing in Hardford CT not in upstate NY ?

Can they just show up at harford office and get done with the finger printing or they have to change the finger printing site from special procedure , changing the District office
Please help in this situation .

normally when you call for FP, they ask you your zip code and check if appointment is available in ASC around that zip code. You can give any zip code as long as you make sure that you appear for your FP on the appointment date/time. I dont think they cross check the zip code you provide with the mailing address on your applications.

I havent heard anyone doing this, but im guessing on the basis of posts regarding experiences of people here who had an apponintment in some ASC but decided to walk-in and get FP done at a different ASC (another state/city) as it was too long a wait time for their scheduled appt.

Your parents could try to walk-in in any ASC wherever they are and try to see if they could get their FP done. or if they plan to stay at a particular place for a while, call up the 1800# and see if you can get appointments for that zip code. Do ask this question when you call to schedule the FP appt.

Your parents can take FP in other ASC thant their zip code or main address.

You can call the Customer Service (as indicates in their receipts) to get appointment to the place they will be (check the list of ASC at the www.uscis.gov) and check out where is the closest one from where they will be.

If there no appointments by the date they are in that city they can try walk in, in the best case is better to get an appointment since you don't know if the walk-in will be succesfull.

Good luck,

Oh just for your knowledge, not all the states their DO contains the ASC on it. The ASC are the one in charge for BP and biometrics (they are contractors from the USCIS not USCIS employees). Check the part of Application Service Centers (on fingerprinting) at www.uscis.gov

"Every one" applying for immigration has to go through this process.

Have you received already their Notice of Action (NOA's) or receipts from USCIS?
In those notes you will know what to do, seems like you haven't receive them yet.

In the notes they will ask you for their FP & Biometrics. After you received those you will understand more or less what we are talking about in this forum.

Good luck,
