left the I-94 was not picked up by the airline staff.

What can we do about it? I can't seem to find any information on the USCIS web site.

Ask them to call the local US consulate/embassy. They may suggest something.
Alternatively, when they next visit the US, ask them to carry their old I-94 and the boarding pass out of the US from their previous visit.

I am just surprised that there is nothing in the USCIS web site about it...no instructions, no nothing. It's unbelievable.

But then again, why am I surprised... :rolleyes:
