Immigration Question, help me out please.

This is a parent- child relationship. I applied for AOS back in 2003, but was denied due to abandonment. (Didn't show up for fingerprinting). I didn't submit a motion to reopen or reconsider. Is it possible for me to reapply now?

My father petitioned for me. If I am over 21, Does he have to accompany me to the interview and what questions do they ask in a parent - child AOS interview??

Thanks.

Yes, your father can file a new I-130, where he would mention that he applied once, and the case was denied due to abandonment.

He doesn't have to accompany you. But, one thing you should know is that if you are over 21, and you are in US, you have to maintain your legal status until your priority date becomes current, and you can apply to adjust your status.

yes, my I-130 was approved and my priority date will be current in the next few months. Why will I need a new I-130 ? Isn't the original I-130 still good?
