Parallel application for H1 & H4 ???

Can one apply both H1 & H4 visa simultaneously ?.
Situations being my would be spouse is working in india , after marriage would like to continue work at USA . But our marriage is scheduled to happen in Jun , so can she apply H1 in Apr (for which if everything goes well she would get approval in Oct 2005) and H4 in Jun to travel here the same month? .

Later on arrival of approval notice , exit out of the country to change the visa status from H4 to H1 ?

Please provide your inputs or any other better ideas/suggestions for this situtation/problem???

I think so..

I think (not 100% sure) you can do this. The logic here is the company would apply for H1 and you do not have to really join them. But hat concerns me is the timing issue.

Anyone else can you please post your experience with this. This is very helpful to many of the newly married professional couples.

Now I would like to convert to H1 by going to mexico and getting it stamped..

I have contacted several lawyers and most of them are guiding me to go to India for stamping as your h1 didn't come with I-94

This is putting me in a fix as I dont have a concrete answer...

People who have experience in this area, Please reply and help out...

Can you help me with this? My wife is on H4 and we are thinking of applying for H1 for her. But she also has to travel to India. So can she travel to India after applying for H1? Will there be any issues if the H1 is approved when she is in India? Can she come back on H4 and then start working from Oct 1st on the approved H1?
If anyone has any info about similar situations and also if you know how to deal with this issue can you let me know. We dont want to get the H1 stamped in India at this time.
