Paper vs E file of I-765 (EAD)

I am considering to renew my EAD.

What are the pros and cons of E-filing as opposed to paper
filing?

paper filing is better i guess

I think paper filing is better bc you dont have to go to local INS for the photos. i send all papers for EAD renewal in mail and it has been approved last week. it took alomost one month to be approved.

For your reference:


E-filing Pros:

1. Get an instant receipt number, your RD will be at least one day earlier than filing by mail;

2. Save you about $10 for taking the photo

3. Save you a check and probabaly a stamp


Cons:

1. You have to go the local office for the photo and FP, means wasting gas, parking and your time

2. You may still have to send supporting documents by mail

i just followed the direction of EAD application form. you can download at www.immigration.gov

1. EAD application form
2. old EAD card photocopy of back and front
3. I485 receipt notice
4. two photos
5. fee $120(?) - you have to check it out bc i dont remember exactly how much it was.
