Exp. from Ontario

Hi -
A friend of mine got his h1-b stamped in 10 days from Ontario - not sure about the ETA in Toronto. I am also going to Canada in Calgary embassy this month, will let you know if what happens
His was a renewal case - not sure if this helps.
PS: Me and my friend both are Canadian residents

Can you share your experience?

I'm planning to go to Calgary for revalidation stamp. Can you share your experience?

Thanks

Re: Security Check.

It really depends on your luck.

I went for revalidation to Calgary around mid Nov and had to wait for 4 weeks for clearance.

A friend of mine recently went to Toronto, and got second day H1 revalidation.

Both of us are from Pakistan.

H1-B STamping from Toronto

Salam,

I just returned from Canada after going through H1-B stamping at the Toronto consulate.

I was subjected to security clearance, which came in 8 days, plus 2 additional days to get the passport back from the consulate with the visa stamped on it. Other than that it was pretty smooth. They just looked at my I-797 and nothing else. Another friend of mine was told to wait for 1 month, others got it next day, don't know what the criteria is. Be prepared to stay atleast 2 weeks or so. Mine was a renewal, I already had a H1-B stamp from Islamabad embassy.

Also when returning to US, make sure that you go to the airport 3 hours in advance, since your immigration will take place at the Canadian airport and not in the US.

Hope this will help.
