Hi,
Wanted to group those people who are waiting for appointment letter. I have one query. My case is at Bombay and its a CR1 category and i am waiting for my pack 4 ie.appointment lettter.I came to know that if you go to Bombay and present your BMB number they can issue you ur appointment letter.If somebody has information regarding this then please do share about it.

Q. My date is current, my case is in Mumbai, and I turned in my forms. How can I find out the appointment date?

We schedule immigrant visa appointments by the middle of each month for the following month. We send a letter to the address of record in each case.

We also post immigrant visa appointments on our web site every month. Please check currently scheduled appointments to see if you or your relative has an appointment in the near future. If a case number appears on this list but the applicant has not yet received an appointment letter, either the applicant or an authorized agent may pick up a Duplicate Appointment Letter from our Public Information window any business day before 11:00 a.m., except for Indian and American holidays.

They also state on their appointment schedule document that duplicate letter should be requested only if it is not received 10 days prior to the appointment.

What is CR1 category? Family preference 1? Could you please post your timeline? My parents plan to go to Bombay consulate for interview.

Interview letter

Thanks for ur reply.
See CR1 category is Conditional spouse of US Citizen.
My I-130 was approved by VSC and sent to NVC.Now NVC have completed the processing and forwarded the file to Bombay.
My priority date is 15 Jan 2005.Bombay consulate had replied and informed that they can schedule my interview within 8 - 12 weeks.
I am thinking of going to Bombay and see whether they can give me appointment letter because i know few persons who got their appointment letter in this manner.
 
Package 4 Received w/o Interview Appt.

My PD is 12/03/02 (EB3 - World Wide) and I already received Package 4 last year(08/09/05). Is this possible since my PD is not current? I sent package 3 last year June 17 to NVC, and I recevied Package 4 on 08/09/05. I am very confused here. Can they still send the Package 4 without interview appointment? I am just waiting for my PD to be current. When my PD becomes current, do I need to get new package 4 again with the interview appointment letter? My package 4 was consisted of seo46, seo45, and Notice of case arrival from U.S. Department of State-U.S. Embassy Seoul.
Can anybody help me here??
