P-3 hand delivered by New Delhi Embassy not accepted

Guys !!

My brother went to New Delhi consulate today to submit the Packet-3. They did not received P-3 until they will not receive the case from NVC. When he was on counter she checked on her system and then she told to my brother that this case is not arrived yet from NVC. So we can not enter until we do not have case here in our system.
Important thing who wants to hand deliver P-3 they enter the P-3 same time as they received at the counter with out any delay.

Just 5 min ago then I called to NVC , operator told me that they sent my case yesterday not in last week . So this was mistake. She told me that it may take from 7 days to 3 months to get receive the case at New Delhi consulate.

Yep! Same here

I was under the impression that my case had been sent but called NVC a few mins back and came to know, sent on Dec 18...and consulate receives in 1 week to 3 months and attorney in 2-4 weeks..
guess we r destined for March..not Feb :(
Did u guys look into the AC-140 option....

AC-140 option is fastest than NVC process. My case also sent yesterday from NVC to consulate. Operator told from 7 days to 3 motnhs. But Do you have idea How long does it take?
I was trying to get Feb date but I think it is not possible now.
My P-3 already received by attorney on Dec 17.

I think we still have some hopes. Because Nov\'19th people also included in Jan interview. Since our cases forwarded to indian consulate on 18th, i believe we still have some chances.

But Consulate did not receive the case yet, and after that we need to submit P-3 also. Until then it will be the end of Dec month. I do not think it would be possible.

check the Jan interview dates on embassy site

i undestand that US embassy in Delhi is closed on Dec 24 (cos no interviews scheduled for that date)...i can\'t recollect about Dec 26..
i guess consulate should get it in a weeks time..maybe we should try to call next week...
Oct140 can ur bro check when is embassy closed or maybe we\'ll check it up on internet and keep ourselves informed..

Prabhu - mine is not AC-140, though i\'m kickin myself for not thinking about that option earlier..
Oct140, Raja, Rohtak...lets keep track of when our case is created at Delhi..I\'d appreciate if we can post the finding ASAP after getting the confirmation from Delhi Embassy...Thanks...
 
Just spoke to Operator at NVC

She said that although my case has been received it hasn\'t been entered in the system yet but should get done before the end of the year. What she also told me was that my case would be part of the new process for CP proceesing starting Jnauary 1. NVC will send a request for information packet (I guess similar to Packet-#) whuch we will have to pull together and send the response back to NVC at a specified location. Only after processing the information at the NVC will they send some information to the coulsulate in New Delhi to set up the interview there. She had no idea if the new process would be faster or slower (I guess it will be slower) but that\'s what they have been asked to beginning January 1.

cos i can\'t ask my friend\'s in-laws to call embassy for an hour and then go there and deliver, I\'ll wait to get the news from ur end and by calling US emabssy from here...

Rohtak...i hope u can somehow get it going in the current process rather than the new system, cos the only stumbling block can be that all documents (like Birth Cert, Marriage Cert) might be required now..rather than at interview stage...

Just talked to US Embassy. They entered my case into their syetm. Today my brother will deliver Packet-3 in between 2PM-4PM.

No I didn\'t ask Swamy about the interview, but there\'s one case in cptracker with P3 entered in consulate on 27th and getting interview after one month...I believe anybody who gets P3 entered in Dec can get interview in Feb (it\'s my feeling only).
BTW Jan interviewers have case # upto 2001-79X-XXX
mine is 2001-831-XXX, and urs should be similar, so i believe we can squeeze in the Feb lot..Lets see how it goes...Good Luck..

Thanks for ur email and the information was certainly helpful. I faxed my P3 forms to my friend\'s inlaws yesterday and conveyed to them to submit it ASAP, preferably on 27th itself or on 28th...
Also told them to ask for probable interview date..
I\'ll try to check up today and let u know...though the following experience sounds like a scary situation..

I Sure will...though

I might get the update in a day or 2 as i hope they r able to deliver it by this week rather than waiting till next week, thats Jan 2002...
I intend to make a list of people from Feb Delhi interview discussion and then one or two of us can call Delhi each night starting from 2nd week of Jan and if interview dates r out, call everybody else the very night itself so that we all can come to know of the interview dates at the earliest...and make travel arrangements accordingly...
BTW what i understand from Delhi Jan interview guys is that they came to know about the interview on Dec 11-12...hope we get to know by then...Good Luck Rajiv..
