I overstayed back in 1995 for more than a year. Left U.S.A voluntarily in Jan 1997 (before the 10 year ban rule came into effect on 1 April 1997). My husband filed I 130 and I am now going through consulate processing and have just sent in the Visa Fee of USD355 to NVC.
I am worried that I will be denied a visa.. because in my DS230 - I have to answer YES to one of the question -- H -- 'who was unlawfully present for more than one year within the last 10 years' .
My husband is a PR. Any idea on what will happen to me at my upcoming consular interview?
