Hi,
The questions that I am going to ask were asked in this forum, but I am confused from various replies, thats why I am asking them again.
I want my mother to stay for a month more after her i-94 expires, due to some reasons.
We have already applied for the extension on 28th Sep, but haven't heard from USCIS.
Her I-94 is expiring on 28th Nov. 2009, I have following questions
regarding the extension petition:
1: If she do not receive any correspondence from USCIS regarding her
application by 28th Nov and since she has filed the petition, is it ok/legal to stay in the country after 28th Nov?
2: If she received the petition's result after 28th Nov saying that
extension has been denied, how much time does she have before she can leave the country?
3: Is over stay going to create any problem when she plans to visit US again or when I appky for her green card?
Thanks
M
