My attorney filed an appeal to reopen the denied H4 case in May. But I haven't hear anything back from my attorny and INS. Is there any way I could know my denied H4 case has been reopened by INS? I am just afraid my appeal to reopen might have been lost during delivery or INS processing.

When you filed MTR you will get receipt with new case number. But I don't know whether "appeal to reopen" and "Motion to reopen" are same or not..

If both are same then you should get case number in 20 days....
