Out of order for 02ers ?

OK, understood that there are 2 different task forces(!!) working on EB 485s. Came to a compromise and resigned about that fact that we will keep seeing 03 approvals along with 02s.

But why is the task force which is working on 02s not processing in order? I agree that this is less out-of-order when compared to 03 approvals. No offence to anyone here, but why are we seeing 02090* approvals along with 02140* approvals? Why are we seeing June approvals when Jan is pending ?

Too many task forces working ?? Whats the criteria? Whats up? Why is this system so totally opaque? Why is luck playing a hand in this ? Why should people pray that they should be the next lucky ones, instead of being sure that they will be the next ones ?

This is one of those things CSC irritates people

On one hand, there is JIT date, and IIO, assistant of politician all indicates that cases are processed in FIFO manner, on the other hand it is just not in reality.

Someone should demand an explanation, if they want to approve a few applicant out of order for whatever reason, we can understand; but if they process cases span over 6 monthes at the same speed (2002.01-2002.06), that is unacceptable. I don't think all of these cases approved out of order are the results of politician's inquiry.

CSC are not really being smart in this case
 
Finally found the missing monkeys...

You know what, I heard that bunch of monkeys were escaped from a zoo. Guess where they have gone? They finally end up in USCIS offices and most of them are in CSC offices.

Guess what they are doing in USCIS offices? Shredding papers, doing monkey things etc... :D :D :D

Well you know . Let me come out and tell me my real identity. I am a
mole planted on this web site. I used to process cases and I was given
the task of gathering intelligence about you guys. My input will help make
the process even more frustrating for everybody.

Lets say we are doing what we are doing. What the heck are you gonna
do buddy? So okay. Its unacceptable. But who cares? And who is gonna
make us do the right thing? you? Well. We are just sitting on your cases
and not doing anything. We come to office, do nothing and just collect

HA HA HA. I mean......see the problem is we are on a budget and cannot
afford toilet paper at our offices. But fax paper is plenty. We just roll your faxes and put in our rest room. We sure do need our toilet rolls.

Now let me tell you our little secret. Well, see with the salary we get...we
cannot afford anything. I mean yes, it is all free money because we don't
work but still. We have to keep hoping that we win some lottery. So we
just play lot of lottery with our free money. And we randomly choose tickets.
Usually we choose any combination on the lottery ticket and pull a wac
number close to that number. So who cares about what the date is. Frankly
for months now I don't even know where we are.


Let me also tell you about the task forces. Yes there are two. We are
divided in to two groups depending on who likes Poker and who likes BlackJack. That is what we play all day.

So keep barking. In a jungle the Elephant walks leisurely and ignores the
pack of barking dogs.

relax, this graph shows that general population is processed in order. As always in life, 5-10% are lucky bustards.
Every cloud has a silver lining. :)
 
ND, you need to revisit your graph. Its not 5-10%. Number of cases approved from april mounts to 90% of cases appoved from Feb. And number of cases approved from March and April together is equal to or more than the cases approved from Jan. I, myself, am a March filer. 02129*. But I donot want to be hoping that Im one of the lucky march filers. Instead, if I know things are in order, I will exactly know about what month I would get approved with JIT being on so and so date and with JIT progressing at so and so pace.
This is not just a few cases here and there!
 
I can see why worker bees couldn't care less, but their boss....

may have something at stake, would he or she prefer to have thousands of complains flow in and have his/her boss over look his/her shoulder; or would he/she rather have a good performance observed by the boss.

If you ask me, it all comes down to management. Our society work because we have a balanced system hirachy. Everyone have a boss to supervise what his job. I believe all the people there are good decent folks, without proper incentives and supervising, who wouldn't want to sit there and relax?

This is America

It's how things are done in America. They don't care a damn about abuse and corruption until they are exposed by the media. Even then, they will cover up. Look at Enron and Abu Gharib. Look at how they are going to give amnesty to the undocumented while making you wait for another three years.

Abuse and misuse of power is the very foundation America is built upon. Look at those poor soliders --- they followed orders, beat up prison inmates, and now they are made scapegoats to save Ricardo Sanchez's neck. This is how this country treats most of its citizens.

Of course, it happens in every country, and it's done in any other country. You know the difference? Because these Americans have "American values," which they bragg about, and which make them hollier than us. I don't hear expressions like "unFrench" or "unPakistani," but many Americans love to talk about "American values," and they constantly brag about how wonderful this country is. How many times were you told by your white colleagues "if you don't like what our government (INS) does, why do you want to stay? Why don't you go back?" Implying that immigrants have to shut up and 100% support George W. I was even told by a USCIS officer that I don't have rights.

I keep sanity by hoping someday I will make it big and become an advocate for the mistreatment of legal immigrants by the USCIS.

By the way, Mango, I know you will get an approval before me, because your case was filed after mine.

A touch of American Value: recently I saw a bumper sticker on pickup truck; it's about middle east - "Take out their gas, Nuke their as*".

I don't think it's specific to America. Most of the countries have their notion of "values", "patriotism" - not exactly similar way. In cold war anyone who did not fit with so called "American values" was referred as "commuist". I know one incident when a human right activist raised some issue in Pakistan, she was referred as "pro-Indian", "indian spy". Similar thing happens in my country India too - like "pro-Pakistani", "ISI spy", "anti-national", "traitor".

II think this kind of "value" concept came to America pretty late - some way new (may be this just a bad side effect of cold war pill). In Europe it's pretty old thing (may be extinct in some part of the Europe).

As has been famously said, the appeal to patriotism is often "the last refuge of a scoundrel."

I will when it's my turn, when JIT passed my ND date. At the same time if anyone would like to make an inquiry or file a complain, I would love to provide some thoughts.

I guess most of the people are not just posting here to express frustration, but also want to make things better.

Like in the old war strategy, if you want to defeat an army attack its commander, if you want to herd a crowd tame it's leader; and if want to improve the work of a goverment agency, make sure the people at the top care first, then the rest will come.

I think mango_pickle is right, one wouldn’t feel lucky. I mentioned this few months back. All I am looking for was that some kind of systematic, reasonable order of processing.

I called 3 times this week. What a waste of my valuable time. They just read the crap on the web site. Btw. I was enquiring about RFE doc sent to me a month ago, which I didn’t get it so far. These dumb as..oles don’t know that we read 10+ times the case status before we call. I asked once the same, why couldn’t you work on my 485 instead of wasting the time like this. Guess what! They are beyond the stinking animal. They are mo.. f…ing bas..reds and bit..es. Some of you (point less!) might want to call “officer”.

I consider what these shameless people are doing for helpless people like us is plain and simple crime.

Random pick processing could be, either drunk at the work place, no joke – less/un educated with less skill set –guess where will they end up. You are right! government office in developed countries. (in un developed countries, story is opposite – lack of public awareness that money goes from their pockets makes gov. morons pays are more )

I still remember reading the news that the INS officer f…stupid bitch ordered all our docs to be shredded. Later it was found that those cases start from Jan 2002.
For sure we don’t know what stack got sent to garbage. Does anyone of you think, no approvals for JAN 2002 indicate that those docs got shredded? Now some moron might have come up with an idea that instead of telling public about shredded docs, ask applicants to identify them selves through RFE. Based on the reply they identify the case and approve. If this is correct. They should be having bare min. info about the applicant. Once I saw this stuff at their office when I sat with the employee, who was browsing my info; for IEAD.

Any thoughts on this!

I think these thick-skinned people are strong enough to employ for front line battle in Iraq.
