Our I-485 applications are finally approved after pending at CSC for 2 years! Here are the details:

I485 PD -- May 1998
<YES, no typo. The whole process started 5 years ago>

I485 RD -- May 2001
I485 ND -- July 2001
Spouse's FP -- Jan 2002 (Santa Ana)
My first FP -- Jan 2002 (Santa Ana)
My second FP -- March 2002 (Santa Ana)
My third FP -- April 2002 (Santa Ana)

RFE for me only (asking for EVL) -- issued by CSC in Oct 2002
RFE response -- received by CSC in Nov 2002 (20 days after the Fedex delivery).
2nd EAD/AP applied -- Jan 2003
2nd AP approved -- March 2003
Interim EAD -- April 2003 (soaked in rain for 2 hours, Santa Ana)
Spouse's FP expired -- April 2003
My H1 expired -- April 2003 <5th year>

Decided to forget about the whole green card thing, and stopped checking status -- End of April 2003 to May 13th 2003.

I485 AD -- May 8th, 2003

Received our original copies of approval notice from atterney on May 14th, 2003. Both AVM and BCIS website are updated as of May 14th.

Passport stamping -- May 15th, 2003, done at Santa Ana.

The extra delays (comparing to majority of cases filed in the same time frame) have been most agonizing. The recent trend of WAC01 cases being cleared at CSC, if sustainable, deserves some applause.

My best wishes to all WAC01 pending applicants, especially PCee; and to the early WAC02s, like Silly Man.

Do not get me wrong, I sincerely hope other WAC02s and WAC03s get their approvals very soon too. But if BCIS can not speed up all cases equally fast, fairness should be its first priority.

July 2001 ND!!! There are still such cases? No wonder the JIT does not move.

Enjoy your freedom...I too waited for 22 months before they approved our cases in March this year... wac-01-232...

It must be a big burden off your mind right?
