Other Evidence of Birth

Hello,

What are other acceptable evidence of Birth if Birth Certificate is not available?
Back in our country, we do have this so called "Family Card" that stated the entire household data: Father, Mother, Siblings including their date of birth.
Will this be acceptable in lieu of BC? This Family Card is a government issue paperwork.
Please advice.

Many thanks.

If a birth certificate is not available, a letter is required stating that a record of birth is unavailable. This letter is to be written by the agency that issues birth certificates (i.e. a registrar of births) in the place of your birth.

Along with this letter, secondary evidence like old school records, old government records along with two notarized affidavits evidencing the birth signed by persons who were personally aware of the birth are also required.
