I'm not sure what's "Birth certificate affidavits", it's made by individuals?
I have a Notary paper stating my name, birth date, place, parents name, etc. It's made by Chinese official notary office. I used a copy of it for AP, they accpted.
Only if "supporting document is prepared by the issuing authority solely for the purpose of presentation to BCIS, an applicant or petitioner must submit the original document with the application or petition."
If affidavit (for the Birth Certificate) does not say/mention INS or BCIS anywhere in the document, one should be fine with photocopy. Am I wrong Jaxen? Thanks.

In most of the cases, BCIS is the only authority who will be interested in the birth affidavits. Many people do get RFEs about birth support letters...
Tyzh: Yes some relatives who could have known when you were born, preferably parents and other immediate relatives. I guess the RFE for AP was for birth certificates. There is a slight likelihood that you might get a birth certificate RFE later,,,My guess.
Now I'm starting to worry about that phone call on Saturday morning. There are no such thing as revoking an AP, right ... But they shouldn't know my home number.
