I did apply for my mom’s extension of stay (I539). I she is on B2 visa. I did one mistake that I did send her original passport. We have received her I 94 extension approval.
But USCIS didn’t send her original passport. Now we wrote to them Vermont center as well filed G 884 (asking for original documents) to local INS office.
But there is no response yet from USCIS. When ever I call INS call center, they are useless. Say they just wait or say nothing.
If any body faces this kind of problem. Pl tell me the solution.

If I apply for duplicate passport from consulate. My mother 10 year B2 visa will be invalid. Does that mean she needs to reapply for new visa in consulate in India?
