hi,

my interview is in a week and i looked at the list of documents they asked for on interview letter.
should i take originals or copies or both?
I submitted copy of birth certificate which was faxed to me from india with application (485) and they accepted it. i have been issued EAD and advanced parole. can i take that fax copy of birth certificate with me to interview or i should ask for original from india?

regards,

what will be the consequences if i could not show original birth certificate on interview date? will be reschedule my interview or they will just deny my application?

I read a case like this somewhere else. The person was advised that they were approved, pending sending in the birth certificate. I.e. they got a "Request for Evidence" at the interview. After getting the birth certificate, they sent it to the DO and got their GC approved. I imagine something similar will happen to you, I don't think you will be denied, you just won't be approved on the spot.

What if you sent the Orignal documents to USCIS in the begining, but all you have now is copies?
They should have them at the interview then and you should only take the copies. However, in future, you should learn to read instructions!

Well..I asked USCIS Customer service line, they told me it doesnt matter, as long as you make copies of it and save it at home

The instructions are pretty clear. You send copies because THEY ARE NOT going to send you back that information. You keep the originals. At the interview you bring the originals in the case they ask for it. And for your own records you should make copies of everything that you sent to USCIS and what you received from them.
