Original I-140 missing : Any problems?

My case is regular CP (via NVC).

I went to my attorney's office today to collect all my docs for CP. I was expecting to get the original I-140 Approval Notice, but my attorney did not have it. She said, as far as she remembered, it was submitted along with my I-824 application (I changed over from AOS to CP). However, that seems absurd to me, as people who file I-824 and then do AC-I140, submit the original I-140 along with AC-I140 application. Also, the attorney should have received a duplicate-original of my I-140. So, I am surprized to hear that she does not have it.

All I got from the attorney was a notarized copy of my I-140.

Can you folks please tell me if you have got your original I-140 from the attorney?

Would there be a problem if I am not carrying the original I-140 but a notarized copy?

Urgently need some advice on this issue.

{I cannot comment on if you can file your AC 140 papers with just a copy
of the I-140 approval}

{Your question about carrying a notarized copy of the approval to the
consulate is easy to answer. Normally the consulate people do not even
ask for the approval notice. So if you have a copy instead of the original
it should be fine}

Original I-140 Approval Notice

Raju,

in your case, did you carry your original I-140 approval notice to the Interview?
If you did, there is no reason why I should not get the original Approval Notice.

Yes. I carried it because I had it. In your case you would too, if you
can lay your hands on it.

We are just discussing the options if you cannot get an original from your
attorney.

Original I-140

Just found out that my employer (HR dept) had it.
Collected it today from HR.
Relieved :)
