Options for daughter of Green card holder

Hello,

I used to frequent this forum many years back when I was waiting for my GC. I'm back now looking for some information for a friend.

My friend is in the US and has a GC. He has applied for a GC for his daughter who is 21. I beleive at 21 she is no longer a dependent and so her GC is going to take a looooooooong time. Is this correct ?

She now wants to come to the US to do her masters. What options does she have besides a F1 ?

After getting my GC I've stopped frequenting this and other similar forums and I've lost touch with the Visa/GC scene and I guess I'm too lazy to read up :)

So if any kind soul can point me in the right direction I would really appreciate that.

10 years.

If he hasn't filed I-130 on her behalf, she may have a chance for F-1 or J-1 visa. Perhaps, she should opt for H1B.

So if any kind soul can point me in the right direction I would really appreciate that.
