OPT valid after Oct 1?

Dear Gurus,

I have my OPT valid till Feb 08 & working with company A. My H1 got approved from another company B. Now I would like to continue with company A on OPT as I am expecting to get EAD through my husband's GC processing in 1-2 months.

My question is

1) As of Oct 1 - does my OPT become automatically invalid even if I haven't joined with company B & do not intend to join in the future?

2) If company B revokes my H1 as I do not intend to join - would my current OPT status continue as is?

Yes your temporary status is now H-1B. Expore the option of travelling out of U.S. and obtain the I-94 based on your approved OPT.

Switch your OPT/H1 immediately to H4 through your spouse 's H1 timebeing - Until you get your EAD.
