OPT to H1B : Gap Issue

Hi!
My problem is that my OPT expires in June’06 and my employer is filing my H1B in the general quota(in April’06) my question is that will I be out of status between June’06 and Oct’06(if H1B gets approved) Can I still stay in US?

you'll be out of status whole August & September. (You knwo there is 60 days grace period for OPT)
