Opt Status H-1 Pending And Landing In Canda

PLEASE HELP ME OUT ASAP
i have opt status and my h-1 is pending and my landing visa for canad is expiring in oct 1st.

my f-1 visa has already expired but i have status of F-1 OPT so can i come back to usa if i stay less than 30 days (AUTOMATIC VISA REVALIDATION)

will there be any problem to come back from canada to usa on expired visa

please give me ur suggestion

I think the rules have changed and you can no longer come back to the US on an expired visa (I think the validity of your I94 is until graduation and does not cover you OPT time). I think you will need to reapply for a visa in Canada, and I had read somewhere on these forums that you can theoritically apply for a visa with a valid OPT, but is very risky. I recently applied for a renewal of a F1 although I too had OPT, but they only gave me the visa till May 19 (the date on the I20).

I'm no expert, so please verify this from a lawyer or your school international student officer.
