My wife has been taking graduate courses as a H-4 since later last year. Since she missed serveral chances for internships, she is going to change to F-1. We have a question about OPT.
It is said that you have to be a F-1 student for one year in order to be eligible for OPT. But we were told by international student officer that the previous quarters my wife had taken as H-4 could also be counted. We are confused. Could anyone kindly clarify it? Thanks a lot!
