Hello Jaxen/Gurus,

I am currently on OPT, my opt expires on Aug 28, 2004. I do not have a job yet. I am expecting to get a job in a month or so.

If I file for an H1 after oct 04 "Will I be in status during the period Aug29,04-Oct o4 ? Can this period be considered under 60-day grace period ? Or what do you suggest. Any suggestions are most welcomed.

Yes you will be under the grace period. But laws change. I would suggest you apply early so that you get your H1 before Aug 2004 . Remember you should get H1 approved before the grace period.
