OPT extension

HI everyone,
does anybody know if there is a way of extending an OPT after a PhD program on F-1?
My wife has received a job offer that will start in the summer and end a couple of months after the OPT expires. Are such things as OPT extensions or something?

OPT cannot be extended. She should ask the company to sponsor her for an H1 visa
