I filed my EAD application at the beginning of March. California center (SF) received it on March 12th. USCIS website says my case is still processing. It is taking way too long. My friends who filed their OPT much later than I did got their EAD a long time ago. What is happening here? I called USCIS and requested for status check two weeks ago, but nothing happens. My temporary EAD expires this February. I still have time, but my employer needs the original one ASAP. Should I go to the California center to talk to an immigration officer? (By the way, the sub office in my town doesn't have an immigration officer who can talk about the case like mine.) Please let me know ANYTHING about California center (SF) and the case like mine.

I have experienced the similar thing--my OPT EAD even didn't arrive, went back to BCIS, and they discarded it. I know your pain. Wish you luck!
