OPT, biometrics, EAD

Hi,
I applied for OPT in august and still nothing, it has been over a 100 day's.
My international advisor at the university is clueless and I am getting worried.
I Have called the USCIS and now they say I have to go for a biometrics appointment.
I have never hear that any one applying for OPT had to go for an biometrics appointment.
Does any one have suggestions?

Hi,

I am in a similar situation as you and wanted to check if you had any updates.

I have a receipt from USCIS of Sep 24th and its been almost 97 days now. I called up the customer care no and was told that I should take an appointment through Infopass for an interim EAD card. Do you know if an interim card is issued anymore ?

I have a work start date with my employer for Jan 14th and my case status still shows Received and Pending. It seems as though there is no way I can start working if an interim EAD card is not issued. The customer care people told me it might take atleast 30 more days to get the EAD card.

Any information on this matter might be helpful. Do anyone know if expediting the process is possible ? Also, if anyone has experience with an interim EAD card policies in the recent semester, please share it with me.
