Opt Applied For H1 Travel

Hi, I am currently on OPT and working. My company has applied for H1 in 2008quota. If I get the H1 then it will be effective from October but I get the H1 approval in June or July. My question is, If I get the H1 approval, would I able to go to India in June or July and come back without any problem on the basis of just approval not the stamping. I am confused about this, please let me know. Thanks
 
Why wouldn't you get the visa stamped? You will not be able to re-enter the US without a valid visa stamp
