How will you deliever the petition?
Nice work, Pradeep. I am glad so many people have signed and hope it crosses 100,000 before the comment-period is over.
I was just wondering how do you plan to send this petition to INS? If you somehow at all send it to INS; is INS bound to look at it? If INS looks at it, are they supposed to tell it to congress/senate that they received such a petition with so and so many thousands of signatures? If they look at it, are they supposed to act on it?
Do the lawmakers know so many poeple voted in favor of your petition (and against the INS proposal), if the INS does not tell them? How do you plan to convey that?
My concern is - with so much opposition, the petitionign should not go in vain. Mere petitionig without forwarding it to INS or lawmakers or media, the whole exercise might not amount to much except a quick unscientific poll. One needs a channel to get the message out.
