I still can't seem to check my status online. I applied last September and heard back from Buffalo the other day after faxing them. The letter stated that they have a backlog and that I will hear from them in the coming months.

Any thoughts about the online status check ??
 
No man, Even my case is not cleared , we applied in july last week and received the file number on 911 still waiting , but i am going thru attorney he charged very nominal cost , he said i will some where in i week of OCT.
let us wait and see.

Can u tell me how long did they take to reply to your fax? Also did u get a letter from them or did they faxu back?? I faxed them about 3 weeks back and have not heard from them as yet...:(

I faxed them on July 16th and received a letter from them on August 24th. So, it is taking more than a month. Hang in there and you should hear back in a week or so.

Also, the letter said that I should not send any more faxes for status checks and that I will be hearing from them in the coming months.

I also am not able to check my status online, it says that it couldn't find my number on file. I applied last Dec/01, file # on Feb/02, and now on Sept 5th will be the time for a follow-up by fax.
Should I send just one fax and wait? how do they reply to that?
