Online status not found? What does that mean?

This morning I checked my online status for N-400 and I got the following message:

"The status for this Receipt Number cannot be found at this time in this automated system. Please check your case receipt number to see if it is correct. If you have questions or concerns about your case status, please contact the National Customer Service Center."

Couple of days ago I was able to check the status and ut was showing 240-300 days to process N-400 application.

Any body has any experience with this? Does this mean interview letter shall come soon or what? Plz share your experience.

That means good news!

That means that your file has been forwarded to a local office and you should be getting an interview notice soon. There have been several posts about it on this forum.

Could you please post your time line and a district office where you are applying?

I am from ny district (vsc). I applied in oct. of last year and got fingerprinted in nov. of the same year.

i am IN ny district as well, and i saw the same message on BCIS case status site. and with in two weeks i had my interview notice in my hand.

Now u should look fwd to recieve ur interview notice. do u live in NYC area or in long island plz reply... if u do then ur interview is going to be in garden city naturalization office in long island.
thats where mine was july. let us know if u get ur interview notice.

How much time do they (BCIS) give you between interview notice and actual interview? Is it more than a month or two months?

well in my case INS gave me plenty of time... i recieved my interview notice in mail on 28th may. for july 8th interview at 1pm appointment.

and i am sure u will get done with interview and oath and i will be still waiting for oath because of name change in N400 form. i just have this feeling...lol
If i get oath letter before u do, i will let u know.

Don't worry you will get your oath letter soon. It feels longer when you are waiting. I know somebody who got oath letter after a year and that person did not even changed name. So it all depends on each individual case.
Lets hope your oath letter coming soon :)

FYI....

I received the interview letter after six days of the online status disappearing. I am in the dallas district office.

I recieved my letter for interview yesterday. It took about 10 days after online status disappeard to recieve the notification. The interview is scheduled in the middle of Dec. This means in New York area 14 months for interview and then extra time for Oath.
