Can we also able to see ... about our finger print appointment date ... via online case status update? OR USCIS only notifies via finger print letter in mail ?

Also, Is it okay to do Walk-in-Fingerprint, instead of actual date ?

No, you won't be able to see your FP date online. Some ASCs allow walk-in before appointment date while some others don't.
